Tan Sri Affendi Buang serves as the Chairman of the Combat Shooting Club (CSC), bringing with him more than four decades of distinguished leadership, operational command, and strategic expertise drawn from an illustrious career in national defence.
A former Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Air Force, Tan Sri Affendi is a highly decorated fighter pilot and among the pioneering officers of the renowned Smokey Bandits. Throughout his service, he held numerous senior operational and command appointments, overseeing complex air operations, strategic defence planning, and international military collaboration. His career was further strengthened by advanced professional military education and strategic leadership training at both national and international levels.
Widely respected for his precision, discipline, and strategic foresight, Tan Sri Affendi exemplifies leadership at the highest level. As Chairman, he provides strong governance and direction for CSC, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and professionalism while elevating the club's standing as a premier platform for responsible shooting sports and member engagement.
